From 2011 to 2022, Colleen Markley chronicled the funny and wonderfully absurd moments of everyday life on her blog, Yes It Really Happened. Writing those humorous pieces was a true joy for her, and while that site is no longer updated, some of her favorite archives now live here on her website.

Her enjoyment of writing has continued to evolve over the years. Beginning in 2019, her blog focus shifted to writing-related topics, which she shared on platforms like Medium and eventually in her current newsletter on Substack. The platform may have changed, but her passion for putting words to the page remains as strong as ever.
